3-channel video installation, 2019
Academy of Fine Arts, Munich, DE

3 steel tubes, 3 screens

each tube about 160 cm x 100 cm x 70 cm

videos: 01:15 min, 03:40 min, 2:16 min, loop, HD, Stereo

The 3-channel video installation consists of three bent steel tubes each with a screen mounted on it. Two tubes are located in the exhibition space, the third tube goes out of the space into the corridor through the doorway.

The work deals with a dehumanization of the image of the human body. The videos show the artist's naked body, which is distorted and multiplied. They refer to the work "second version of the triptych 1944" by Francis Bacon, which in its representation moves away from the human body and shows shapeless beings that can be seen as distorted versions of a human being shaped by war.
