ÜBERFRAU 2.0 is a performative attempt to rethink the origins of the human being and to offer an alternative concept of the idea of man. The task of the Überfrau is to convey this concept to the public like Zarathustra did by going down to the people speaking truth. The performance begins with the birth of the Überfrau. Cocoon-like, I hang down a crane in a pool full of oil. In front of my mouth I have a small video projector showing a dance of butterflies made of animated anal holes (see video below). At a certain point an electric pump turns on, the oil starts flowing and pours over the enchained performer. The Überfrau appears as a child of Gaia, Mother of Earth, and a product of the Industrial Age. At the beginning of the performance Überfrau is a fetish object embedded in a factory-like setting. After the birth scene the initiation rite is following. I get rid of the bondage, receive my armors and leave the gallery space. My sexual characteristics are hidden, I deny my sexuality in order to become invulnerable. Wearing the video projector-helmet I walk out into the crowd, screening the vision of a new human being.
